Q: What photographic and editing style do you use?

A: I’m versed in several types of photography styles, however I prefer to shoot a blend of artistry, traditional, and documentary-style photography, which gives you an assortment of photos of your big day. You’ll get prompted photos, posed photos, and candids, as well as artistic detail shots to create a collection of unique memories. I edit in a vibrant, true-to-life colour, and depending on your package choice, you may also select creative edits in other styles. 

 

Q: How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

A: I’ve been shooting weddings since I lost my Event Planning job in 2020. At this point I’ve shot over 30 unique weddings. 

 

Q: Do you offer retouching, color adjustment, or other corrective services? Are those included or an additional charge?

A: Each image in your collection is carefully color balanced, exposure corrected, cropped, and straightened as necessary. Featured portraits may also receive light retouching, such as blemish or background element removal when needed. More detailed edits are available upon request and may incur an additional fee per image.

 

Q: Do you guarantee your presence at the actual wedding?

A: Absolutely! I (Liisa) am always one of your day-of photographers, and should you package include a second photographer I have a group of carefully selected photographers that match my vibe to help you feel at ease and have fun on your big day!

 

Q: Why do you use 2 photographers in your most common package? 

A: It’s important to me to capture ALL of your special moments, and different angles or eyes offer a unique perspective. I find your day runs smoother when there are two of us, plus, twice the photographers twice the fun (for all of us!) 

 

Q: Do you have a replacement wedding photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

A: Yes, I have a solid network of skilled colleagues I can reach out to, if for some reason I become unavailable, so you will never be left scrambling to find a replacement. But don’t worry, this has never happened, I just know a lot of wonderful photographers and it’s nice to have a safety net! 

 

Q: What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that we provide your meal?

A: Typically we eat when you eat. In your contract you’ll notice that a meal at your wedding reception is required for both myself and if applicable the second shooter. Outside of that, our breaks are short and staggered and only if we really need them. Personally, I tend to eat a good breakfast and then I’m good to go until dinner! 

 

Q: Do you charge for travel?

A: Yes, I charge for anything outside of the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge/Guelph radius, though my rates are incredibly reasonable as they are simply there to help with gas, and time. It’s a custom rate depending on your address, so feel free to let me know your location for a custom quote. If your wedding is over a 2 hour drive from Kitchener City Hall there is sometimes an additional accommodation charge. 

 

Q: How are your photos delivered? 

A: I provide all images via a protected google drive folder, which then you can download and share from for up to 6 months following your wedding. 

 

Q: Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

A: Yes, as your wedding photographer, I do retain the copyright to your images, which is standard in the industry. That said, I provide you with a full copyright release for unlimited personal use—so you’re free to print, share, and enjoy your photos however you’d like.

 

Q: Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

A: I do, however if for some reason you’d rather not have your photos published, I’m not a jerk, feel free to let me know and we can work something else. 

 

Q: Do you provide the raw files?

A: Absolutely not. You receive a gallery of images selected and retouched by me, as well as a large selection of colour corrected photos. There are no circumstances where you will receive a raw or unedited photograph. Photography is an art form, and I require all of my art out in the world to be a representation of what I have to offer. If for some reason you’re not happy with the edits received, you’re always welcome to let me know, and we can discuss your options!
