Wedel Photography is owned and operated by me, Liisa Steinwedel.

A little about me: I'm in love with all kinds of arts including theatre, music, visual art, photography, crafting, dance, and more! I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and in Theatre, with Honours. And probably most important, I'm a cat mom to the most beautiful long haired Russian blue: Luna.

The name "Wedel" Photography has great significance to me, as I've been involved in the wedding realm since before birth. My mom owned "Wedel's" bridal boutique in the late 80s and 90's, creating custom bridal gowns, accessories, and florals, so when selecting a name for this photography endeavour, "Wedel Photography" was the right choice.

At the end of the day, I understand that choosing a wedding photographer can be daunting, especially with all the talented options out there. I thank you for taking the time to consider Wedel Photography. In the first paragraph of this section I use "we" when referring to the company, because I truly believe that wedding photography is a collaboration between the couple and the photographers.
